This policy explains what information Pocket Tutor (https://pockettutor.shop), operated by thegurukulofai, collects, why, and how we protect it.

1. Information we collect

• Account details: your name, mobile number, email address and password (stored securely as a hash, never in plain text).
• Your study questions and the answers you receive, organised into chats.
• Plan and payment records: the plan you bought, amount, date and Razorpay order and payment IDs.

We do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank details. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay.

2. How we use it

• To create and run your account and show your saved chats.
• To answer your questions using AI.
• To process payments, add questions to your account and email you a receipt.
• To provide support and prevent misuse or fraud.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted providers that process data only to run Pocket Tutor:

• Supabase: login and database (your account, chats and payment records).
• Google Gemini and Groq: AI models that receive your question and recent messages in the same chat in order to generate an answer.
• Razorpay: payment processing.
• Resend: sending receipt emails.
• Netlify: website hosting.

Please do not include sensitive personal information (such as ID numbers or health details) in your questions.

4. Security

Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Each user can only access their own account, chats and payment records. Secret keys are kept on our servers and never sent to your browser.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your account and chats while your account is active. You can delete individual chats at any time from the chat screen. Payment records are kept as required for accounting and tax purposes.

6. Your choices

• Delete any chat yourself from the chat sidebar.
• To see, correct or delete all your data, or to close your account, email support@thegurukulofai.com from your registered email address.

7. Cookies

We only use cookies that are needed to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children

Pocket Tutor is designed for students. If you are under 18, please use it with the permission of a parent or guardian.
